During October 2023, we carried out an over-roofing to a Workshop roof in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
The original steel roof was leaking in a number of areas particularly around the rooflights and at the sheet end laps. Random repairs had been carried out by others but the roof continued to leak.
We therefore recommended an over-roofing system with a new gutter liner.
The roof was covered with a supporting grid, new insulation and new single skin plastisol coated steel sheeting. The rooflights weren’t required so we sheeted over these.
New plastisol coated steel flashings and rubberised pipe flashings were fitted to ensure the pipes were all sealed.
We then fitted new flexible Firestone gutter liner to a total length of approximately 13 linear metres (1 no. gutter).
The first 3 no. pictures show the new roof and guttering. The 4th and 5th pictures show the repairs that had been carried out to the original roof but hadn’t solved the problems.
