Commercial flat roofs
Flat roof problems can be dealt with in a number of ways, depending on the age, type and condition of the roof. Solutions range from localised random repairs to the complete replacement of the roofing membrane.
Commercial felt roofs
Old felt roofs are usually best replaced using three-layer built-up torch on felt systems which ensure your roof remains fully protected. Felt roofs are made up of high performance felts and finished with a grey mineral top layer. All complete roof felt works come with ten-year guarantees for the workmanship, and up to 20-year manufacturers’ guarantees.
If necessary any rotten areas of decking can be replaced and if required insulation can be added to the roof.
Commercial single-ply membrane
Single-ply membrane roofs are often best treated with a high performance waterproofing treatment. These treatments have been specifically designed for flat roofs. They are highly flexible and hard-wearing coatings which are resistant to UV radiation, acid rain, heat, frost and pollution.
As they are applied over the existing roof coating the risk of water penetration during the works is severely reduced and there is very little disruption to the client.
Commercial over-roofing
In certain cases it may be possible to convert the flat roof to a pitched roof with the installation of a over-roofing system consisting of a grid system, insulation, steel sheeting and all necessary flashing details.
