CI Sport Limited, Leatherhead

Project Summary

After an initial enquiry from an existing client regarding a leaking Asbestos cement roof with old PVC factory assembled double skin rooflights, SCS Roofing Services visited the site to survey the problems and discuss the options available. In the end, the works were carried out over 2 separate contracts to help the client spread the cost of the works. In total the 28 no. old translucent roof sheets were systematically removed and new factory assembled rooflights with a 40 mm box depth were fitted.

As the roof was starting to delaminate badly in certain areas we proposed to supply and fit new grey coloured matching profile G.R.P overlay sheets. We fitted 44 no. overlay sheets in total including some up to 7.6 metres long. All sheets were secured using new fixings in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. The valley gutter was shared with next door and they would not contribute towards the cost of lining the gutter.

Therefore at the clients request we cleaned the valley gutter and then a coating of a high-performance liquid rubber was applied to the valley gutter joints. As with all our projects, planning and communication with our clients was key to a smooth running contract.
