During November 2018 we carried out an over-roofing to a warehouse/office roof in Worthing, West Sussex.
The roof was 2 doors up from a roof we over-roofed in September. The client liked what we had done and asked for us to do the same to their roof.
The 4 no. old roof vents were removed and replaced with translucent rooflights to let additional natural light into the factory.
New single skin plastisol coated steel sheeting was fixed onto new spacer purlins that were fitted over the old roof.
New 200mm thickness fibreglass insulation was laid between the 2 no. roofs to help regulate the temperature within the building.
The roof was finished off with new purpose manufactured contrasting coloured flashings.
The gutters were a major problem and as they adjoined next doors building we blocked them off at the end of our clients section. Extended the roof sheets outside the building and fitted new half round PVC gutters to the outside. In addition new down-pipes were fitted which discharged the water into the existing drains.
