During August 2020 we carried out an over-roofing to a warehouse roof in, Chichester, West Sussex.
Initially, work was tricky as we had to work around the seagulls who used to nest behind the vents. Fortunately, these soon moved away when the chicks were old enough to fly.
We removed the redundant vents from the roof and replaced them with new sheets.
The original rooflights were replaced with new clear matching profile rooflights.
New single skin plastisol coated steel sheeting was then fixed onto new spacer purlins that were fitted over the old roof.
New 200mm thickness insulation was laid between the 2 no. roofs to help regulate the temperature within the building.
New rooflights were fitted over the existing rooflights to provide natural light.
The roof was finished off with new purpose manufactured flashings.
A new larger valley gutter was created and lined with a firestone gutter liner.
The original eaves gutters were removed. New supporting flashings were fitted between the wall and new roof and then new half round gutters were fitted with all new outlets, stop-ends and down-pipes.
The first 6 no. pictures show the new roof and gutters whilst the final 3 no. pictures show the original roof.
