In July and August 2021 we carried out a felting and glazing replacement contract on a garage roof in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
The original roof was leaking in a few areas and so we recommended treating the whole roof.
The roof was prepared and areas, where repairs had been carried out before were, flattened out so that the water could flow across the roof better and reduce the amount of ponding.
A layer of venting felt and 2 no. layers of high-performance polyester based elastomeric roofing felt were fitted to ensure the roof is water-tight.
The top sheet is finished in Grey mineral.
The old glass rooflights were also removed and new double skin translucent roof sheets were fitted in their place complete with new flashings to ensure the areas were water-tight.
The first 3 no. pictures show the finished roof and rooflights whilst the last 2 no. show the roof before works commenced.
