During May 2025 we carried out repairs to a storage Unit roof in Ashford, Kent.
The original gutters were leaking in numerous places even though they had been lined, felted and coated a number of times by others previously.
The vents that penetrated through the roof surface were poorly sealed and were leaking into some of the storage units.
We therefore removed the old felt and fibre glass liners and fitted new flexible Firestone gutter liners complete with new outlets and flashings to a total length of approximately 140 linear metres (2 no. gutters).
New purpose made profiled sheets and ski-slope flashings were fitted to ensure the areas where the vents were removed were effectively sealed.
A new flashing was also fitted to the access hatch to prevent this leaking.
