During June and July 2023, we carried out an over-roofing to a warehouse roof in Partridge Green, Horsham, West Sussex.
The original steel roof was leaking in a number of areas, particularly from the guttering.
We therefore recommended an over-roofing system with new gutter liners.
The roof was covered with a supporting grid, new insulation and new single skin plastisol coated steel sheeting. This included covering over the old rooflights as they weren’t needed.
The roof was finished with new plastisol coated steel flashings.
We removed the existing eaves gutter liner which had been poorly fitted by others previously. The liner had been cut at the ends to form the stop-ends and the old gutter bolts hadn’t been cut down and had penetrated through the old liner. This had allowed water to continue leaking through and had made the steel gutter below very rusty.
We therefore cleaned the rust out of the gutter and cut down the old bolts.
We then fitted new flexible Firestone gutter liners complete with new stop-ends and new outlets to a total length of approximately 84 linear metres (2 no. gutters).
The first 2 no. pictures show the new roof and guttering. The 3rd and 4th pictures show the bottom of old liner after it had been removed and the condition of the guttering.
