During February/March 2024 we carried out an over-roofing to a warehouse/office roof in Worthing, West Sussex.
This was the 4th roof we had over-roofed on this estate.
The 2 no. old roof vents were removed and replaced with translucent rooflights to let additional natural light into the factory.
New single skin plastisol coated steel sheeting was fixed onto new spacer purlins that were fitted over the old roof.
New 200mm thickness fibreglass insulation was laid between the 2 no. roofs to help regulate the temperature within the building.
The roof was finished off with new purpose manufactured flashings, including around the roof windows that had been fitted over the offices.
The gutters were a major problem so we extended the roof sheets outside the building and fitted new half round PVC gutters to the outside. In addition new down-pipes were fitted which discharged the water into the existing drains.
